On January, 31 our facilities were visited by Asian, Australian and Guatemala students to know more about zebrafish as an in vivo tool to study cancer.
Our colleague Auson emceed the event, introducing the technology and informing the public about the need to work in personalize medicine (H2020 project). A very rich debate followed, where comments were conveyed on different aspects, including the important progress made on “origin” of the disease.
“Oncology, the study of cancer and tumors, has made significant progress in the prevention, treatment, and prognosis of many cancers” the students said. But all of them stressed the importance of personalize medicine as a key issue in the treatment.
